March 2020 has changed our lives. The livelihoods of so many people have been challenged and put under a big test. Ever since the pandemic started, here in the UK, many people chose to ignore it at the beginning. But when the lockdown actually happened, people became quite shocked.

The uncertainty and so much worry, suddenly floating around, have been overwhelming for many. Our outlook on life has changed enormously. And as we have now officially reached a Summer 2020, we are still wondering, when will this chaos finally end and when will we go back to the normal way of living again?

I’ve been noticing people being under so much pressure and also being very disappointed about almost everything. I’ve been personally affected in many ways too. Many of my plans have been cancelled and postponed. I’ve also realised who my true friends are during these challenging times. So many things have changed and life is definitely not what it used to be.

But after a while I’ve decided I’m not going to dwell on the negative. I’ve decided I’m going to look at all this from a different angle. I’m not going to focus on what I can’t change or what has been taken away from me. I’ve decided to focus on what I CAN DO.

So here is what I’ve done and keep doing:

I’ve decided to invest my energy on looking after myself more. I’ve changed my diet and started taking more supplements, to feel better and more energised. Having more energy helps me to see things more clearly. I wrote my first children’s book, which is coming out this summer. I’m currently working on my first novel, on which I’ve reached almost 50,000 words. I will keep you updated about it in the future blog posts. And these are just a few positive things I’ve been focusing on.

My point is this: Focusing on the positive and what is working in your life feels so much better. I’m not going to lie, I don’t always feel happy or excited about life. I still get disappointed, upset, I go through the general highs and lows, I face challenges and obstacles come my way. But I do try to invest more of my energy to things that truly matter and I don’t dwell on the things I can’t change.

I know this global crisis has brought so much pain and uncertainty into our lives. I know it’s hard and it makes us all feel very uneasy. But trust me, there are also so many things we can do right now that will help us feel at least a bit better.

Do at least one thing a day that brings some joy into your life. Focus your precious energy on what you can do, instead what you can’t do.
